Hot off the easel (or the studio floor). This blog is a n update on what is really going on in our studios. I will be posting everything, including studies for paintings, field studies, still life and finished studio paintings.
This is my latest and my goal was to show perspective, physically and mentally. I want the viewer to be looking up at the Cheetah and to feel the wind and the vastness of the African plains.
Before I begin most of my larger paintings I start with a painted oil sketch. That way I can make all (most) of my mistakes here and hopefully correct them. I need to try to remember to post more in the future with the finished piece.
